Veteran journalist makes native American presentation
THE GARDENS AT WHISPERING KNOLL - Oct. 8, 2012 Veteran journalist and editor Larry Fugate gave insider information on the culture and customs of native Americans to the residents of The Gardens at Whispering Knoll and Whispering Knoll assisted living on the Davis Life Care Center campus today. Fugate was the guest presenter at the institutions observance of National Native American Week.
Fugate came by his credentials as a commenter on Native Americans honest. He was born and raised on an Indian Reservation in Oklahoma. "We are extremely pleased and honored to have Larry Fugate to be our guest speaker during this week observing the culture and contributions of Native Americans," said Pamela Russell, activities coordinator for the two assisted living facilities. "We learned a lot from this highly interesting presentation."
During Fugate's relaxed presentation, he engaged the audience and let them take part in the program. The location is in the "great room" at the Gardens at Whispering Knoll.
